Regional Environmental Center (REC) and Serbian Environmental Protection Agency organized second conference on reporting for sustainability within the project "Setting up Environmental Management Center in Serbia".
The conference took place on Monday, December 5th 2011 in Conference hall of The Hydro Meteorological Institute. The goal was to present the second stage of the project, introducing new system for environmental reporting for Serbian companies that are involved in system of Environmental Management Center. The meeting was addressed by Mr. Ivica Radović, state secretary at Ministry of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning, Mr. Roger Jorgensen, first secretary of the Embassy of Norway in Serbia and Mr. Momčilo Živković, director of Serbian Environmental Protection Agency. During the conference, obligations regarding environmental reporting for national cadastre of polluters, as well as obligations of the Republic of Serbia regarding reporting to European Environmental Agency (EEA) were presented to the representatives of the industry. Participants had the opportunitoy to learn more about functioning and possibilities of TEAMS system for reporting and environmental management.
First two partners, company US Steel Serbia and RB Kolubara, presented their experiences in project implementation, application of TEAMS tools, and cooperation with Environmental Monitoring Center. The interested public, and especially industry representatives had the opportunity to hear more about forthcoming activities and potentials for cooperation with Environmental Monitoring Center.
