Promoting Financing Mechanisms for Eco-innovation in SEE    

Project Promoting Financing Mechanisms for Eco-innovation in SEE aims to identify existing and potential mechanisms for stimulation and financing eco innovations in the region.
This project will consist of wide range of activities in Eco Innovation sector: 

- Research and development of eco-technology
- Pilot projects
- Commercialization
- Introduction and implementation of Eco technologies
- Introduction and implementation of Eco management systems

Research and development consider technologies for protection and improvment of the enviornment in broader sense, but also developing special technological solutions in order to improve ecological eficiency of activities, projects, companies and institutions. 

Current project activities are focused on gathering and analyzing information about existing mechanisms for stimulating and financing eco innovations, to be used for creating a comparative study with recommended solutions for improving situation in this sector.  This study will serve as a base for topics, which will be discussed at the regional conference in 2009.  The representatives of the most relevant eco innovative companies and institutions in region, and representatives of bilateral donors and international development banks will take a part in regional conference.  The goal of the conference is finding mutual better solutions and mutual programs for financing eco innovations on national and international level.
